The ancilliary response file for the output spectra should be created with SAS task arfgen. When dealing with filter masks, arfgen
works by averaging the ARF in a number of grid elements on an internal map, thus, it is necessary to allow a large number of elements in the internal arfgen map:
Temporary files are created with the names specified in the
parameters tmpsrclistset, tmpbkgregionset, tmpflatset, tmpposmaskset, tmpnegmaskset, tmpposspecset, tmpnegspecset, and are deleted when they are no longer needed, at the end of the task.
