Region selection

This area below the “Column selection” area contains two buttons labeled “1D region” and “2D region”. Pushing either of them will trigger xmmselect to read spatial region definitions from a running dsplot or imgdisplay respectively. If this was successful the region specifications are converted into a corresponding boolean selection expression which then gets appended to the global expression in the top expression entry field. If no region specification could be read an error dialog box will be shown indicating the most likely cause of the failure.
