Yosemite is quite a stable version and I had to upgrade to Sierra just because ESA withdrew SAS support from Yosemite! Downloads take a long time for heavy program files like SAS and its associated files.

Many of its dependencies are outdated and not maintained for current operating systems, and there are lots of compiling and compatibility issues with macOS. They should be incorporated with and packaged into a neat single install script, like CIAO.
