Dear Colleagues,

During the last few hours the amount of transactions on the XMM-Newton proposal system web server has by far exceeded the capacity available.

This did not happen in AO1 and earlier load tests and as such was unforeseen.

Therefore, the Project Scientist has decided to delay the closure of AO2 by 24 hours.

If you are currently experiencing too many errors we propose that you try again later today or tomorrow.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
