New version of the Upper Limit Server available

A new version of the Upper Limit Server (ULS), a tool to provide upper limits and fluxes from XMM-Newton observations, has been released. This release includes support for XMM-Newton slew and pointed observations and allows the user to select a significance level.

The ULS tool, as well as its Users Guide are available at

Workshop announcement:
"Starburst-AGN connection under the multiwavelength limelight"

The ESA Space Science Faculty is pleased to announce the international workshop

"Starburst-AGN connection under the multiwavelength limelight"

The workshop will be held at the European Space Astronomy Centre of ESA (ESAC), Villanueva de la Cañada (Madrid, Spain) on September 14-16, 2011.

A harvest of new data has been recently collected in this field by space- (Chandra, Herschel, HST, Integral, Spitzer, XMM-Newton, among others) and ground-based facilities in different energy bands. This Workshop aims at gathering observational and theoretical astronomers so as to answer the following questions:

Perspective participants are encouraged to visit the workshop web page
