XMM-Newton Spectral-fit Database

As part of a project funded by the ESA-PRODEX Programme, the National Observatory of Athens has performed the automatic fitting of the X-ray spectra of the 78000 brightest sources in the XMM-Newton serendipitous source catalogue (3XMM-DR4). This project has been carried out in collaboration with the XMM-Newton Survey Science Centre, in particular with the University of Leicester.

Full details are given in the project web-page

     http://xraygroup.astro.noa.gr/Webpage-prodec/

The results of the fits have been compiled in a catalogue whose beta version can be downloaded through the above web page. This catalogue will be available also through LEDAS at the University of Leicester.

Yours sincerely,
