EPIC-pn Burst Mode energy scale correction

A pair of CCF constituents has been released which affect the PN energy scale for Burst Mode:

EPN_REJECT_0008.CCF now includes a non-null correction for the source X-ray loading as derived from the offset map.

The accompanying constituent EPN_CTI_0046.CCF contains new rate-dependent CTI correction parameters for Burst Mode which have been recalibrated so as to be consistent with the X-ray loading correction.

The SAS will apply these changes through the standard parameter settings of epproc or epchain for Burst Mode data reduction, see

Conference Announcement:
"Exploring the Hot and Energetic Universe"

The Conference

Exploring the Hot and Energetic Universe:
The first scientific conference dedicated to the Athena X-ray observatory

will take place from 8th to 10th September 2015 at ESAC, Madrid, Spain.

The purpose of this conference is to gather together all members of the astronomical community who have an interest in Athena. The main focus of the meeting will be to discuss the key science questions which will be addressed by the mission. A significant portion of the programme will be devoted to presenting the status of the project and discussing the synergies with other future large multi-wavelength facilities and missions.
