Pipeline 02000028/20010122.100409 release note


The release of version 02000028/20010122.100409 of the pipeline on 22-jan-00 
was aimed at fixing a few logic bugs in the pipeline module start rules of 
the previous version (02000027/20001220.095050). These caused pipeline 
failures (for example in trying to process OM grism data, which is not yet 
supported by the SAS), and when these occured the products from the ODF 
could not be created, and so were not delivered.

In addition the maximum allowed number of concurrently running modules was 
reduced fom 8 to 6.

Finally the following parameter values were changed in the calls to badpixfind 
for the EPIC pn:
 - for making a source-free mask: hicolthesh changed from 0.0012 to 0.0015
 - for badpix finding: hicolthesh changed from 0.015 to 0.0015
 - for badpix finding: narrowerthanpsf changed from 1.25 to 1.5
These changes had the significant effect of completely identifying a bad 
column in the pn event list, so that this column is now correctly and 
completely removed from the image products. In the previous pipeline it was 
only incompletely flagged and removed.
