ABSTRACT
Currently only five sdO stars have been detected at X-rays. Three of them are luminous and He-rich stars, while Feige 34 and BD+28 4211 are compact and He-poor. All except the last one have been already observed with XMM, which allowed us to investigate their spectral properties, compare them with those of normal O-type stars, and discuss the origin of the observed X-ray emission. BD+28 4211 is a well known sdO star deeply studied at optical-UV wavelengths. Therefore, we ask to observe also it with XMM, in order to complete the spectral coverage of the X-ray detected sdO stars. This proposal was accepted for the pre vious AO19 but to date the observation has not been performed.

PAPERS
Authors marked in red are (co-)investigators in the proposal

Classification of papers are:
- CLASS 1:   papers that present specific XMM-Newton observations
- CLASS 2: papers that refer to published XMM-Newton results with complementary observations, follow-up analysis, or theoretical analysis
- CLASS 3: further deliveries which resulted from the program and which are made available to the community (e.g. source catalogues, processed images or spectra in public data base)
- CLASS 4: comments and suggestions from PI
