XMM-Newton image of the 3.2-square-degree ELAIS-S1 field. XMM-SERVS provides a wide, sensitive X-ray view of this region. The detected sources, most of which are growing supermassive black holes, are color coded according to the energies of the X-rays detected (with red having the lowest energies and blue the highest).
