RGS 1 first order spectrum of the young active star AB Dor (K1 IV-V) from the revolution #091 observation. The dashed line represents the continuum predicted by the EMD model. A false continuum is created by the extended instrumental line profiles. The coronae of active stars show very rich emission line spectra, with up to ~60 lines identified in the RGS spectrum of AB Dor.
