XMM-Newton Image Gallery Image Submission

Submitting Images to the XMM-Newton Image Gallery

Thank you for your interest in submitting an image to the XMM-Newton Image Gallery! This form will allow you to enter detailed information about your image. This information will be placed in a temporary database where it will be reviewed by the maintainer of the image database before being added to the Image Gallery.

We would prefer to receive high quality, high resolution images for the Image Gallery. Resolution for "high" or "low quality" images, in this instance, is defined by printing resolution or dots per inch (dpi). A "high quality" image that can be used in a printed publication is 300 dpi at print size. An image printed at 10cm by 15cm @ 300 dpi would be equivalent to an image defined by pixel size of 1200 x 1800. Please provide the highest dpi or pixel range possible if images are to be available for publication, posters, calendars, displays, etc.

The file formats supported for automatic image submission are JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg), GIF (.gif) and bitmap (.bmp). The maximum size of an image that can be submitted through this form is 5 Mb. If you would like to submit a larger image, please contact the XMM-Newton Helpdesk.

If you require assistance in producing images, or if you have any questions, please contact the XMM-Newton Helpdesk.
