Spatial - 2D regions from imgdisplay or dsplot

imgdisplay and dsplot support the definition of one or multiple regions on displayed images (please consult the respective documentation if you are not familiar with this feature). Region specifications can be propagated to xmmselect by pushing a button in the main window. xmmselect shall read the regions from imgdisplay/dsplot and translate this into a corresponding selection expression which will be appended to the current expression visible in the entry field at the top of the main window. The selection stage of a subsequent product extraction will then merely consider events which lie inside/outside any of the specified “include”/“exclude” regions.

Please note: Region markers with the color red will be ignored in this process. This is useful in cases where one merely wants to import a selected subset of all defined region markers. Please consult the Ds9 documentation about how modify the properties of region markers.
